This is a fascinating insight from people who have been doing remote work. I wasn’t aware of how they do the “software” retooling” by using software to build another software. The corporations are calling it as a “value chain” but the coders are getting replaced by people who form “associations”- building products by stringing disparate software. It gets progressively more complex with widespread ramifications. There have been many clarion calls to abstain from remote working too, but the cat is out of the bag.

We are coming to a point where software is developing so fast and the abstractions getting better that soon we will have more software written by a smaller number of people. There’s another interesting perspective on how the differential salaries based on “location” will affect the employees. Business justification doesn’t translate into optimal outcomes. These assumptions would have a cascading effect on Telemedicine because the “business leaders” will justify that they do not require the doctor in person and hence lower payments. Assuming that the current salary payouts incorporate some kind of “fee sharing” system where the hospitals bear the “real estate” costs, it would have a cascading and a domino effect on dynamics.
