On writing

I’d be writing a series of small posts on the “power” of writing. It has helped me to organise thoughts, and I do hope it would help you too! I’d promise one post per day for you to mull over.

The “rule of writing” on the internet is that 1% of people create content, and the majority of them consume it. In large groups, we’d almost see a similar pattern. We’d see only a couple of people regularly interacting while others watch from sidelines or ignore. Sometimes, it is the silent majority that leads to the “network effects” or how you are perceived as an “influencer”.

However, these are vacuous constructs and have no real-life applicability. Social media, hence, serves only as an echo chamber for the same reason. There’s no actual thought process that could lead to anything meaningful.
