What I Did Not Learn About Writing In School
I was surprised to learn that they didn’t start writing with any topics in mind. They just wrote a piece on something they found interesting. Then another. And another. After a year or three, themes and topics and niches emerged from their work.
The niche of healthcare/technology/AI/ML evolved gradually. I started by creating notes; I plan to go full steam ahead. But I enjoy writing more about my latent, non-pervasive interests. That’s where my niche lies.
Just start writing! (And please don’t compare). My style (and approach) is direct. I shun abstractive styles (favored by the humanities). Come straight to the point.
